We are in control of relationships. In conparison to the era my mother was a young woman, we women give up a lot more and get a lot less in return than women "back in the day". Today's men don't have any role models either, whereas, men years ago had a father at home who showed and told them how things are done.

Thanks for sharing this, I love Steve Harvey, I went to see him, when he and Frederick the entertainer and others did the King of Comedy a fews years ago. He is straight on point, regarding MEN, lol, my girl friends and I was talking about this a few weeks ago regarding how MEN have changed in the last 20 years, I am from the old school and the dating game is totally different now than what it was 20 years ago. Men are hunters by nature; and if they think the chase is too easy they quickly hit and move to the next.
My girl friends and I agreed that "some" WOMEN have lowered the bar regarding dating, and this is the very reason men tend to treat women with no respect these days, and reluctant to make any type of comittment, because you have SO MANY women giving men money; giving up sex just like it is casual and nothing special; it makes it HARD for those few women that DEMAND respect and is not just willing to "kick it". -- as they say why buy the cow when you can get all the milk you want for FREE!
I think MEN know there it is a shortage of GOOD available black men, this is why some behave the way they do -- this is the very reason some sistas have started to date "others" in big numbers just to find a suitable mate to marry.

Hey Nia! Long time no see.... good to see you!! Well I did read the book and it was SO funny, but unfortunately it puts too much responsibility on the woman and hardly any on the man.... I laughed out loud and it was an easy read, but let's face it - some people do everything uncoventionally "wrong" and stay together until parted by death, and some people do everything that is in the "books" (considered right morally/religiously/socially) and don't find their soulmates.... I think the book should be used for entertainment purposes. Take what you want/need from it and move on....
