Okay makes sense...If you do not mind me asking what exactly was your first surgery...I knw two women who had RNY in 2000 and 2001 and they both gained half of what was lost and are looking into revisions...I told them about OH but I do not think that either came over.

Rant and Rave all you want...You deserve to...You are going through a trying time which you will surely overcome...I initially wanted the Lapband but my surgeon told me I needed RNY and open at that...I was not expecting that but my fiance was with me and that was good because he was able to give the surgeon the rundown...It made things easier for me...Take it one day at a time and if you ever need someone to talk to send a message...Good luck with that and it will be well worth it in the end...

I just want to say to be careful with the sugarfree stuff. It can have a lot of calories in them. I know that sometimes when I'm craving sweets I have a sugarfree worthers original. It is 40 calories for 5 pieces. If I just have one then I'm okay. Also I've had a no sugar added fudgesicle and it is only 40 calories for 1. I will have to admit though when I first tried them a while after surgery they were actually too sweet. Good luck to you and if you get into a habit of saying no to the sugar now it will get easier later on, but if you unleash that monster it may be really hard to get it under control again.

Be careful when eating sugar with a sleeve.  There is nothing to stop you if you go too far.  If you have to eat them factor the calories/carbs into your daily meal plan.  Reduce your calories to cover it or exercise those calories off.

Y'all are soooo right when it comes to the calories in the sugarfree stuff. I eat about 1000 calories a day and I write down everything I put in my mouth. About 250 cals goes into the surgarfree coffee that I drink. Reading this post made me realize that I'm not as on track as I thought. I really have to do some adjustments to my eating plan.

When I am craving something sweet I eat a SF popsicle and they come in so many flavors.  For my chocolate cravings I eat the SF fudgesicles.  If I am bored and feel the munchies coming on, I chew gum and listen to music or go for a quick walk.  I'm a busy body and have to constantly be doing something or I will snack mindlessly.  I would be careful with some of the sugarfree candies, usually they have more calories than the regular kind.

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!

It is pretty bad when I am at work and in class. But last night I tried some of the suggestions you all gave me and they worked. When I felt like something sweet, I took a walk to the bathroom or Prayed!!

Again, THANK YOU!
