Sweets!!!???
Hello:
I have a sweet tooth/teeth! I am 7 weeks out. What do you all think of the Tootsie Roll Lolli Pops? They are fat free about 30 calories each. I stuck on about 2-3 a day.
Is this a sabotage and I should just give them up? Will it prevent me getting to my goal weight. Or is it OK?
Opinions welcomed!

I hope that you know the answer to your question and simply posted due to a lack of anything better to do.... Of course it's sabotage. Thinking of ways to fit in sugar...fat-free or not is sabotage. By having surgery, you were to commit to a healthier lifestyle. Failing to do so will result in your regaining your weight. Sure the first year you will lose weight regardless but if you fail to use that first year to learn a healthy way of life....your surgery will have been in vain as you WILL regain.
Take your mind off snacking by EXERCISING. Instead of looking to sweets look to fruit or make yourself a nice fruit smoothie and add protein.

So Tootsie Roll Lolli Pops comes in liquids now? Wow!!! Just messing with you, but seriously, I dont know the story behind your revision but were you maybe doing the same thing at 7 weeks out? You dont have to answer, just something to think about
Hey Adrienne...The most I have had of sugar ("bad ones") since surgery was a jolly rancher...The small candy and I left that right alone...Try the sugar free candies that they sell at the drug stores or just kind of ride it out...I was never a sweets, candy, and/or cakes person and ate those things on occasion. Try to hold off and when you can have "regular foods" try some watermelon...

She said sometimes with a revision it takes some patients a little longer to eat. We tried the soft foods but I could not tolerate them! So she said stick with the liquids; protein etc. When I see her in May we will try the sot foods again. I knew it would be hard but this is terrible! But I am Prayerful this will pass! AND I WILL come out on top!!
