I shopped at the thrift store for clothes

Hell yeah I had a last meal, matter of fact I had several.   I went way over the amount of weight I was suppose to lose before surgery and therefore I felt that I could afford to have some last meals.  LOL

Hi Big_Sam!

1.  No, I had set aside my tax refund the year I had WLS.  I also am good friends with a tailor.  So, my favorite pieces were taken up.
2.  Yes I was approved on February 6th and I ate everything in sight through February 12th.  I wished that I hadn't done that because the liquid diet after surgery was pure hell for me.  I am always the designated driver when I go out with friends.  I am a social drinker so no, I didn't go out and get drunk.

People are so worried about what they eat between Christmas and the New Year, but they really should be worried about what they eat between the New Year and Christmas. ~Author Unknown

1.  did y'all go broke having to constantly buy new clothes for your constantly shrinking body?  I don't know. Ask me in a few more months.  Actually I am fortunate, I knew some people who had WLS and they donated their clothes to me so I have clothes up through a size 10.  If get smaller than that, then I will have to go shopping.

2.  did you go out and have one last steak before surgery? how about gettin drunk one last time? My last meal was a huge plate of terriyaki chicken and rice.  I was a huge rice addict before surgery, could eat it all day long.  i haven't touched it since surgery.  And hell yeah, I was gone on my last night of drinking. It took me a few days to recover.

My wife bought me a Nice jacket yesterday that was a size large (I'm currently 2X).  We're trying to get a jump on new clothes now while I'm still pre op.  I got pants that my wife has offered to tailor for me, so hopefully we can save a little bit on new clothes.

As for one last steak, haven't got to that yet.  I've done just about everything else but a steak.  But it's on the agenda

No i didn't go broke buying clothes... the smaller-sized clothes were actually cheaper. You won't want to buy a lot in the beginning anyway because your excess body weight will be running away from you!!

No, I didn't have the "last meal" thingy before surgery. I was trying to make sure my liver would be small so I could have my surgery laparascopically..... and it worked....

I have not bought but one shirt since surgery.  I can still wear the clothes I had because I had  variety of sizes.  I will wait until my clothes are falling off to purchase new ones. My clothes are big on me right now but not falling off and I am three months out.  I will hit the thrifty stores up soon before I go out and buy new.

No did not like steak but I did have a last couple of suppers.  LOL
