I'm so proud of all of you guys before you know it you will be announcing that you just completed your first marathon  You really should consider signing up for a race, there is nothing like crossing that finish line for the first time it is such a sense of accomplishment.  I broke down when I ran my first race and crossed the finish line because couldn't believe where I had come from.

To be honest with you SoulSista,  I don't enjoy running at all it is just painful.  LOL.   My knees are in such pain I constantly have them on ice and at night I keep them on heat.

There would have to be a miracle at this point to make me like running but who knows it could happen.  My running any sort of marathon will completely depend on my knees and if they hold out.

I have seen people who lost a lot of weight run marathons and the euphoria they have at that moment and I do envy that, I just don't know if I can do it.

I'm sorry to hear about your pain. I had a lot of pain in my feet and knees in the beginning and someone suggested i go to a running store. i was professionally fitted for running shoes and it made a very big difference you could try that and see if getting the right running shoes for your feet and frame will give you some relief.

I run in Z-coils, you know the sneakers with the springs, they custom fit them to your weight and everything and charge you a dam fortune for them.   Well they are great because they took away the back and ankle pain and the knee pain for a while but my knees are hurting from me injuring them when I was a bigger gal.     I

Hey Lee, I'm giving the 5k a break for now like we talked about, but I'm keeping up with your progress.   You are doing really good.  I'm proud of you girl!  After a 2 week break I'm back in the gym (my Mom had surgery, my Bday was last week, yadda yadda).

I did it!!!!!!!!!

I'm sooooooo excited.  I have reached a milestone.  A couple of months ago I didn't think this was possible.
I watched a show that I recorded, so the 20 minutes didn't seem too bad.  Wow I actually think I can make it through the rest of the program!!!!

u know i've been doing robert ullrey's program on coolrunnigs.com and have been stuck on week 3 for 6 weeks. well, last night, after reading this post, i will to suz's sight and downloading her podcast. i got up and tried it this morning and have 2 admit it was much much much better than robert ullrey's!!!!!!!!!  the music actually motivated me so much more! i even kept running through the 5 minute cool down.  i know now that i will be able 2 get through the remaining weeks without any problems. it's funny how the music can change things!

so, thanks 4 introducing me 2 suz!
