most newbies want to know info like what protein shakes taste the best and what the best vitamin supplements are.

i'm sure its all been discussed at great length a million times......but is there an old post or link to a website that breaks that all down?

not really, but honestly posts about both go up quite often on the main and RNY boards.  I can tell you though not to stock up on anything.  I got all this friggin unjury and ended up giving most of it away.  I had everyone I know order me free nectar samples...hated it.  IMO protein shakes that are compatible with your pouch and tastebuds is something  you have to find through trial and error.  I use syntha 6 from bsn.  It's the only one I've found that doesn't have that funny taste that makes me gag and heave.

As far as vitamins go, you can check out the ones marketed specificaly for bariatric patients, but *I* just use regular ole drugstore stuff with the exception of my calcium (upcal, great prices at amazon.com)

you should be able to find it in a nutriton store, but here's the link on bsn

No idea where it's all at in one place - but for RTDs (Ready To Drink) - nothing beats Labrada Lean Body and Oh Yeah!

I don't just have issues, I have subscriptions!  I'm saving on the newsstand price.......
