Now look Mr. Birdman when I was looking for this dang bird, saw the picture, it was a little cute birdie and it was not some quack, like the Army doctors I see. I am so confuse

However....the first bird is the female. The bird gets its name from the bright red on the wing of the male. (Most birds get their names from how the "usually" more brightly colored males look. Female birds are generally more "subdued" than the male birds.)
