Does Your Mate Treat You Better

I haven't had my surgery yet but since I've been losing weight for the last year that I've been on this weight loss program,  my husband has been kinda "clingy".  I can't help it but I really hate that!  

I'm just not an overly affectionate person so for him to be constantly rubbing my leg or holding me hostage in the bed to snuggle or just saying a whole lot of mushy stuff - it's just gettin on my last nerves.

Same here with my husband, my self esteem has always been okay but now that I have lost 83lbs he is so overprotective of me.  I cant lie I love it since I am a scorpio and we love the attention!  We went to the Hawks game friday and there was alot of wealthy men there and of course I was looking so fly and my husband said let me get you out of here cause they looking just joking but I knew there was some truth to it.  He is a cancer so I know that I have to reassure him alot that I love him and I am not going anywhere!  He is my boobie!

She does treat me better . Only in that I treat myself better. She cooks healthier food. She has always been a good wife.

He is more guarding or a protector always the hell around..LOL  I can't tell you how many times with in the last 13 years that he has gone with me to the market ( I think I liked it that way). Well guess what like clock work he volunteers to go to the market every week with me. He never cared were I got the food  from just long as I got it. My son and daughter think it's funny that "daddy is jocking mommy" Hell he was in the Rite Aid that night I saw you and I was only getting a plug in and some gas-x..LOL.

It is kind of cute...lol...I am waiting for the Summer to come to see how he acts...I am going to be good and dress with taste...That was the reason for many of our arguments pre-op...We have been together for 2 years at that time (seems like a lifetime) and he was always trying to be up under me...But now I would prefer it that way rather than not have him around at all.

Girl to much of anything ain't good..LOL I'm so not normal I'm not and affectionate person. Don't get me wrong i know what i have to do to make him happy and all that crap...lol I just need some me time ! Girl your a dresser/shopper and a cutie so you are going to be given him a run for his money this summer...

My DH has changed. It did not start wth the after the surgery or the weight loss, but when I told him that I was having the surgery. He tries to hide some of his insecurities, but they show now and again.

Like you I have a strong personality and I did not suffer from a low self esteem.

Of course it changed but I told him(my husband) when I was a big girl that my day was coming and I have arrive. I was the tail and not the head, last and not first, but now I am who he opens the door for where ever we go. He takes me out for dates. He calls and ask is there anything that I want. He has gain sense as I lost pounds. It is all good.

My husband tried t show me he wasn't treating me differently that he barely noticed the first 100 lbs I lost which was so frustrating because I was getting all these compliments from the rest  of the world and he was saying nothing. I've learned he was a little insecure because we had other issues before surgery and as my body began to change he realized that I was not only tired of ME short changing myself but also him shortchanging me and he stepped up. So, as soon as I set standards he began to try to reach them.

It is funny that he does hold me more out in public  than before. Hmmmmmm
