OT: One brother's take on Black women........

Being submissive has such a negative connotation...

I feel that each person in a relationship can do for each other in what ever way they seem fit!

But I have found that alot of men are looking for a mother figure...

What's negative about submissive?  Are you equating it with 'weak'? 

Most people I know equate it with being weak...

Its a give an take...as long as each person is strong in who they are and its a partnership then its cool!!

I think that being submissive to a point is somewhat sexy but it has to go both ways..Like taking turns...

I was thinking the same thing...but being the dominant one is cool too!!

I agree though and I think that comes from women raising boys. (which isn't ALWAYS a good thing)

They Mamma ALWAYS took care of them and did for them and they never figured out that they suppose to take care of they Mamma....

I don't let my nephews say that mess...what you gonna do for your Mamma??? Thats what I tell them!! You suppose to take care of your Mamma not your mamma taking care of you! Mess around and be 30 y/o and ya Mamma still taking care of you!! Don't make no damn sense!

My personal opinion on this is simple. We don't want to be challenged all day at work then come home and be challenged. SOME sistas do just that. Its always a challenge always something to fight about. We don't want that however some of us (myself included) don't want a punk either. (Yes honey type) Its a thin line between being submissive and being stern. I think a GREAT woman knows how to balance the two. She knows how to tell you NO and make you feel good about it. I feel the power of the world lays on a womans tongue. She can break you down and build you up. I don't need the one who keeps breaking me down. But who is a builder.

However it takes a special type of man who can handle that type of woman too. One *****alizes his Manhood is validated by her or how man he can pull or how much he can get out of her.
