The Verdict Is In
Good Morning BAF. Today I am exactly 3 months out and I have lost a total of exactly 60 lbs (counting from 9 days prior to surgery)...I am super excited. Some experiences over the last 3 months are indicated below...lol.
- Feeling great: I feel SOOO good like I am on top of the world.
- Learning how to eat to live rather than live to eat: This has been very interesting and it is great to take the concentration off of food and put it on yourself.
- Clothes, Shoes, and more Clothes: I am going to bankrupt my spouse for sure. Cherry Hill Mall or King of Prussia will be my best friends, Hopefully by June.
- People: They are loving the weight loss, except for the occasional haters. I can care less if they like it or not, but I love it. Family and friends are very supportive.
- Eating & Excercising: I have ordered samples of the Nectar protein drinks and I LOVE THEM. I drink one per day and I am happy about that, I am trying to drink more water, and I take my vitamins/meds 95% (am going for 100%). My eating is good and I have not tested the waters with sugar, soda, etc. I do eat a wing ding or 2 occasionally and am fine with that. I need the clear from the Dr. to exercise (slight accident) but in the meantime I will utilize my unused treadmill at home and DVD's I have. Hopefully this will help with reaching my next goal.
- Size: Starting out I was a 24 and in denial and now can go as low as an 18. My clothes size goes down slow which is no problem to me. At my lowest of 208 I was in a 14/16 (depending)...I would love to see a 8/9 when it is alll said and done.
- Reflection: This has been an awesome journey thus far and at times it can be challenging but what would be life without challenges. In August/September I told my fiance that EVERYTHING is going great for us (house, jobs, life in general) but the only thing that bothered me was my weight and I was trying but WLS is really helping me along.
- To All: Keep up the good work and take it one day at a time. I have come to realize that this change does not occur overnight and is a life long commitment to yourself. The light at the end of the tunnel is closer than we think.
