Hello,
I am in the planning stages of trying to find some place fun and not too far to take my niece and nephew (9 & 11 yrs old) in May during our family reunion over the Memorial Day holiday.  I was looking into Six Flags.  I have only been to the one in Texas when younger.  However, on the website, the reviews are somewhat scary.  So, I would like anyone elses reviews as to the park.  I will greatly appreciate your responses.

Thanks and God Bless!

NProgress,

Although, I am a native St. Louisan, I have only been to Six Flags a handful of times in my 31 years.  Alot of my family goes quite a bit and I will be going in July when my family reunion takes place. I haven't heard alot of horrific things regarding it, though.  Just the usual, like kids being ghetto, but these days you will find that practically everywhere.  Perhaps, Stacee, will chime in.  I know she usually goes at least once a year and takes her daughter.  Hope this helps.

Hey Nprogress,
I like the Six Flags here, we have the water park aka Hurricane Harbor and also several fun rides.  As Mere said we go at least twice a year or so and my daughter just loves it (10 years old), although she is a dare devil and will ride ANYTHING, she loves roller coasters and the wild and scary rides.  I think you will enjoy it, you can also alway find coupons and discounts on the tickets.  If you have any other questions just let me know.

I went to the one in Gurnee last year. It was great. It was the first time in more than 30 years that I was able to fit on a roller coaster, and I rode EVERY coaster there except the Batman because it was closed . The first thing I rode was the Superman with my 16 year old grandson. They no longer had the bungee, I really wanted to do that. But they do have the Dare Devil Dive but it was closed by the time we got around to it. My grandson and I have a bet as to which one of us will ckicken out. But I think that by now he knows that Grandma ain't no punk, lol. We are planning on buying season's tickets this year. I've got 30+ years of coaster riding to make up.
