Re-Gro for Black hair.... anybody used this?

I used to get free-style braids quite often, and sadly that contributed majorly to my paper-thin hair. The texture of my hair didn't help either because it was kinda fine.... what has helped me the most was cutting off all the relaxer and wearing my natural hair texture... If that isn't an option for you, minimizing your chemical processes and watch styles that pull on your hair will be really helpful with alleviating thinning hair. I also used Dr. Miracle. The one with the mint smell.... it tingles and stimulates your scalp, which in turn stimulates hair growth.... I've never used re-gro. I know someone who used it and it increased her heartbeat. It tells you about it on the box. I'm not sure if it's the minoxidil or what ingredient that does it, but that is a possible side effect.

All the best....

thanks lady!  Naw - the natural ain't a choice for me - don't let the light skin fool you - my hair texture is PURE African!!!!  LOL - I was thinking of getting twists instead of freestyles to minimize the stress on my hair - but Brenda R and Ro got me smooth out of that - so I am going to rock this wig for a little while longer while I plot my next move.......

So how have YOU been lately???

My cousin used it, the results were temporary.  Hair started breaking when she quit using it.  I use Groganics and the Dr. Miricle line.

I use the relaxer, temple gro balm, intensive spot treatment, and the gro oil. The spot treatment helped where i went thin. Used it in the morning and then evening before wrapping my hair for the nite and my hair filled back in.

Thanks for this post MM, I have been getting so worried lately.  The back of my hair is fine, however the front is so paper thin.  My husband just looks now and says "damn".  LOL  I wear my hair in a bun everyday.  I wish I could do braids, however the last time I tried them it seems like all my hair came out.  My hair texture is very fine.  I was at the beauty supply today looking at some half wigs.  I just don't know what to get.

Wigs are hit or miss - my advise is to buy a wig cap and try several on to see what you like.  the half wigs are tricky cause you will have some of your hair out and blending color and texture can be a challenge.  For half wigs I like Freetress or Sensationnel lines - I find they have the ones that end up looking the best.

Thanks for the topic I'm using Biotin shampoo, conditioner. I see some regrowth, but my hair is also like  sboyd soft and fine and it broken out with sewn in weave before I even had surgery. Went back to the braids that is pin to the head and when I took it out I can see some new growth. In between the braids I used DOO GRO. When hair is not braided I use the Biotin.  But think after all is used I'm going to try using the Dr. Miracle's I'm tried of the HB having more hair then me. Other medication I was taking wasn't helping either.
