FOR THE PAST COUPLE OF WEEKS I'VE BEEN DOING REALLY WELL WITH MY EATING AND LOSING WEIGHT BUT TODAY FOR SOME REASON MY BIG A** HAD TO HAVE 3 SLICES OF UNO PIZZA FULLY LOADED. NOW AS I SIT HERE AND TYPE THIS MESSAGE I FEEL LIKE A PIG. I CAN'T WAIT TO GET MY TAIL ON THAT TABLE SO THIS WEEKEND I GUESS I'LL BE EATING CARROT AND CELERY STICKS UNTIL MY PRE-OP APPT. WHICH IS ON 3-18. AND THE BAD PART IS I KEPT ON EATING KNOWING FULL WELL I WAS FULL. I DONT CARE HOW SMALL I GET MY A** IS ALWAYS GOING TO BE A BIG GIRL AT HEART. AND I CAN LIVE WITH THAT.

Girl, didn't you know...the actual WL surgery is the easy part!

It's the dayum mental part that we never get used to.  LOL

Don't worry, you will do fine.  Just keep in mind that WL surgery is a tool that needs to be worked.

Kim is right.  It is all the mental crap you deal with after surgery.  I am still a big girl and always will be.  In my head i'm one of the biggest girls I know and I can't get rid of that.

When i'm around big girls I still try to talk the talk and they look at me like shut up skinny ***** but I swear I feel like i'm still part of a club that I have been kicked out of.

Unless you've already had to start a pre-op diet, now is the time to eat some of those things that you love.  Afterwards you may not even like the taste anymore or you may dump on them (wich doesn't mean that you won't crave them).  IMO enjoy them, you have the rest of your life to be on the straight and narrow when it comes to food post-op.

But that's just me.

Lee, that is a trip, I have never thought about that happening! I can't even imagine that right now, but I would think it can be a bit hurtful. You made me think, the more we press to be healthy, the more we get kicked out of the "club" and there is nothing we can do if our friends dont want to make different choices, wow.
