TODAY IS GOOD TO BE BLESSED AND I HAVE ONE

5 months ago i found out that my daugther was 6months pregnant and was planning to leave the baby in the hospital until one day she was over my house and i asked her if she was expecting she lied and the following week she came clean and said she wasn't going to keep it. well i have 2 different friends that wanted to adopt him but the reccession wouldn't allow them. She unexpectedly went into labor still not planning on taking the baby home. She already has 4 kids that includes a set of now 17month twins that i keep while she works. right there a the hospital I had to pray and not be selfish I don't think I could live with myself knowing I had a grandson in the world not know if he was being loved and cared for so I made the best decision of my life to take custody of him. He has been a joy my daugther is an only child she's32 and self willed. I'm excited because today my be the 13th but it's a happy day for me I get custody of him through the courts with the understanding that i make decisions for his well-being mama and daddy has to have my permission when it comes to him. I have been single and living by myself for 5 years and loving being drummer free no offense I have the time and space. She has really been supportive when comes to me doing the things I've alway's done by watching him for me. So if you don't understand just pray for us (me). I named him Christian Dequavious Battle he is truly a blessing. Be Blessed in this day. 

Children are always a blessing and he is blessed to have such a wonderful grandma! 

Congrats.....children are such a blessing, God will reward you for the good things you've done and are still doing....may that child be a blessing to your life...

I just read your post and it moved me to tears ! I thinks that's a wonderful thing that you are doing and you will be blessed 10 times over.  I was adpoted when i was 3 months old , my mother was 14 when she had me and her mom and dad had died and she was living with her sister who already had a set of twins, she had no other recourse in 1977 but to give me up for adoption.  I was adopted by a wonderful family I can't complain god blessed me and watched over me.  I was blessed to meet my mother in 2003 and she has never left my side!  I am glad that you could take him and love him! Be blessed!
