Hey Angie,

You are doing great! I wasn't in denial but towards the end I was miserable.....popping buttons, breaking zippers, splitting jeans, etc.

I feel the same way......I'm down about 40 pounds and came back to work this week. Everyone is like ~ Wow, you look great but I can't really see it either. I have a set of twins and they both are about 40 pounds so I've decided to use other ways to see the weight loss.................I look down at them and say.............I lost one of my kids!!!

Keep in touch and keep up the good work.
When nothing else could help................LOVE lifted me!!!!

There were some parts I was in denial about, like really needing a size 30 instead of a 26/28. I always thought I was fat all of my life because my mom and siblings called me fat ever since I was a child and when I look at those pictures I was a normal size person. I was always called big by everyone else, including strangers because of my height and no one said I was fat except for doctors. My height is a blessing because I am able to carry a lot more weight without it showing but it also masked my obesity for years also. Apple, it will take a while to see your weight loss and that's why I say take pics often so you can see what others see. I'm just now seeing a smaller person sometimes, even though I see collarbones and ribs right now. lol  This surgery is definitely a mental thing and I can't tell you when or if your mind will catch up with your body because I don't know.

I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND!!!!!!!!

me and a friend of mine (she had lapband in july) were eating lunch and talking about our wt loss and how we didn't realize how big we were when we started.

wow!!!

it's funny how we cannot "see" sometimes.

lol!
