NSV. You may have seen those initials many times and didn't know what they meant so I'm going to tell you. They mean non scale victory. Too often we get caught up on the numbers on the scale that we forget to enjoy the journey. Things like, crossing our legs for the first time, sitting in a chair with arms, buckling the seat belt, getting into those bathroom jeans, buying clothes from a regular store, someone not recognizing us, climbing the stairs without getting out of breath etc. All of these moments are beautiful moments of our journey that we might overlook if we obsess over the scale. I'm not saying, don't weigh because weighing keeps us in line but I'm saying that wls has given us more than just weight loss. Think of all of your NSV's and just see how successful you truly are with this surgery thing.
