I lost my JOB YALL

Well after 15 years at Ford Motor Company, 2 degree's, 1 Six Sigma Certification - Black Black, almost 41 Years old I am now unemployed!!!!! I went back to work last Monday from Medical and an hour later I was separated from the company....My first thought was aint this a *****!!!!!! then I was like oh well it is what it is and Now I am redirecting my career for the latter part of my life to nursing.

I thank God for health and strength and my tummy tuck on these joka's my gastric bypass on these joka's and everything they have done for my family.....But I do KNOW who my provider is!!!!!

Pray for me family I am sorry I have  been away I am now with time until I start school in the fall.

Any nurses please respond and let me know what I need to do I haven't been in school since 97!

WOW sorry to hear about that.

So the bailout money received was for what? To lay employees off? So sad.

I got laid off from Ford in 2004.  It truly, although I was scared at the time, was a blessing.  God doesn't close a door without opening a better one.

I am working right now on getting a friend from Ford hired on at my company because they are closing the Dallas callcenter. 

I'm sorry for your job loss and will be praying for your new opportunity.

I know when GOD is elevating us up he will place and provide be encouraged. When Obama said every American should go back to school he was telling the truth. Just think you have been given a healthy chance at life again and there's no where else to go but up. Just continue to let god lead and enjoy school. I start on 4-9-09 for Ministry. May God bless you and famliy. It's all good you recieved all you could from that company and now you get the opportunity to learn to help other's. I was in health care for years and loved the patient's. To keep it real with you, you really have to have a heart and compassion for others to be successful in this field because it is not going to make you rich but I encourage you to go to school and don't stop the sky is the limit.

Although this is a huge loss...look at it as OPPORTUNITY! I admire your tenacity to "keep it movin'!" Move on to the next level in your life - something BIG is waiting for you!

And look at all the blessings you were given while at Ford - wls and your TT - on them!  I'd say you are coming out ahead on this one.

My heart goes out to you. I get absolutely heartsick every time I hear yet another story like yours. Times are so scary. Nursing is a great career to go into...you will never want for work!!! We need more nurses that actually CARE about taking care of their patients...and the money is great as well. I am praying for your strength as you venture on a new path.

I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers, but now that blessing come in many forms.  Keep your head up!

Sorry to hear this.  But at the same time; God doesn't close one door without opening another.  The medical field is BOOMING!!  And I am sure you will be a great nurse.  A lot of hard work and dedication!!

You have the right attitude!  God has bigger & better things in store for you.  He never gives a vision without the provision.
