I baked a ham for my family today and glazed it with honey.  I also made a separate ham glazed with pineapple and orange juice.  I am just wondering can RNY patients have honey with out dumping?

Honestly sis, i think everyone is different. I dont know if you read some of the stuff some people eat on here, but ppl are talking about pound cake, birthday cake, ice cream, all kinds of foolishness and they find out they dont dump, like 4 days post op, so....if you want to try it. i guess you will never know.

me personally, i shy away from all things like that since im only 15 weeks out.....im deathly afraid of not only dumping, but for it to have a delayed reaction and happen the next day or something when im at work or a client's house. nothing worse than explosive bowels and nausea while trying to ensure child safety.

I don't have a problem with it.  I do better with natural sugars than I do with the artificial stuff. I guess you will have to try it and see.
