Jehovah Witnesseses please...
Hey Taw...I am Muslim and have been for years before I met my soon to be husband who is also muslim...My family is like 60/40 so it makes things easier. There are SO many things that we should or should not do as in many religions...Do I have faith- Yes...Would I do what your friend is doing- Hell No...If that was the case I would have never had Weight Loss Surgery... I am a firm believer of to each its own and that we cannot judge people because of their choices.

Taw...first of all...my prayers go out to your friend...definitely.
As for her husband and her religious choices...understand this VERY CLEARLY...just because he was a JW...and she converted...HIS CHOICE OF RELIGION DOES NOT DEFINE THE CHOICES HE MAKES AS A MAN!!! There are CHRISTIANS, JEWS, CATHOLICS, MUSLIMS, NON-BELIEVERS, WHO CHEAT! Religion has nothing to do with a person making the CONCERTED DECISION to go outside their marriage.
O.k., so the Bible teaches us to honor and respect our spouses, etc., however, WE ARE ALL SINNERS...WE ALL SIN AND FALL SHORT OF GOD'S GLORY...remember the infidelity is no different and no greater than any other sin...sin of coveting another's stuff...sin of jealousy...sin of having sex before marriage...he is no different than the next person.
That's all I can say - take the religious choice away from the equation...then you will see clearer - that he is still human...and a sinner.

Taw the fact that she converted to JW makes no diffrence than her being born into it. She believes with all her heart that she needs to refuse the blood to save her spiritual life after this one.
Some converts have more faith than people who were born into a religion. It's not a matter of when or how she became a JW, it's a matter of how she practices and believes and obviously she really believes this is a decision SHE needs to make. Just because you weren't born into something doesn't make you any less faithful.
Her husband's faith or lack there of has absolutely nothing to do with her, even if she was still married to him it still wouldn't because she is responsible for herself regardless of if he showed her to the religion.
There are things that doctors can do to help Witnesses with the blood issued, blood expanders, and other things as well, i'm sure she is impressing upon those doctors her desire to live and there has been many many witnesses who have needed blood who have survived "Blood-Less" surgery. There has been a lot of strides made in JW bloodless surgeries since the 1970's and many many more survive than die.
Just cause she won't take the blood doesn't have to automatically mean she will die. Nor does it mean that she desires to die. She just wants to serve Jehovah in the best way she sees fit.

Now let me address YOUR problem at hand. I was born and raised a SINNER.
As an adult I strayed a bit from practicing and tried to follow an organized religion, but due to the backstabbing and gossipy nature of the some church members; the whorish nature of the jheri-curled pastor and his lust-filled deacons (who I have since dubbed the broke-ass Temptations); the floozy gin-saloon ways of the beautifully dressed women who would always sit on the first three pews and catch the Mexican jumpin-bean holy ghost, hoping that one of the Temptations would catch them and not get in trouble with their wives for it; the constant bickering over money and the indecisiveness of what to exactly do with it; the flamboyant, yet arrogant stylings of the choir director/piccolo player, who would throw a natural hissy fit if you couldn't make choir rehearsal on time; and the multiple fights that would breakout because some church members would refuse to move over whenever I tried to enter their row; I have decided to return to my sinning ways and by no means can I be held up as a model for someone to follow.
That is my story and I'm sticking to it.

Aaron,
I see Imma have to put the fear of GOD in you! Don't let others deter you away from you Lord and Savior cause they wanna act a fool! God knows your heart and if you wanna be closer to Him all you have to do is talk to Him. He hears ALL and answers ALL.
