IF YOU WOULD HAVE KNOWN

There's a good point Naomi, but sometimes the band frustrates me, like now I have been completely unfilled and have to go a month before getting refilled. Its killing me.

I would have had the VSG rather than the Lap Band in a New York minute.

To be honest with you I found out about the DS after I was approved with RNY and I rolled with it.  I could of had any of the surgeries ,but I really did not know that much about VSG.  I read about lapband, RNY, DS alot.  I believe I made the right decision by going with RNY because I needed restriction, malasorption, and dumping for behavior modification.  i know wls is mostly mental but I know what mentally would help me.  JMTC :)

I love my VSG, and wouldn't trade it in for the world! I get the same results as people who've gotten RNY. I'm luvvin it!!

The only other thing i MIGHT have considered would have been DS - but even now - I am still leaning on RNY for me - I am a crazy mofo who appreicates dumping!  LOL

Plus - I don't think I will be a person who has regaining problems - i have really changed my lifestyle and have focused on maintaining.
