Update on my Ankle

Hey everyone,

First, I want to say THANK YOU to everyone for your sweet messages - I appreciate you all...Went to the doctor's office...I actually have 2 fractures in the ankle and they have been there at least 4 months.  The unfortunate thing is that in addition to the fractures, because I've been walking on the ankle, I now have a tear that must heal. 

So...I am in a soft cast for 4-6 weeks...Although she said she'll take another look-see in 2 weeks, she told me to (realistically) be prepared for the month and a half in the cast.

Oh well...there goes my Seattle trip...there goes my...oh hell...I'm just fit to be tied right now!!!

Again...DAYUM...DAYUM...DAYUM!!!!!

PLEASE don't ever let something like this go again...... you are so cool - you would be one of those that let cancer go until it's too late or something - I am so glad it's JUST a fracture and you can heal from it - but don't ignore your body like that again!!!!  You scared me!!!!!  I don't like to be scared about my friends.......

Now...about your message...I really appreciate your concern, but baby girl one thing I know about me - I typically do not wait to go to a doctor when something's wrong...seriously!  My soon-to-be ex husband used to tell folk I will make a doctor's appointment if I broke a nail! LOL! 

This situation, on the other hand...just didn't feel that serious to me - I just thought I had twisted the ankle and didn't really do anything about it...But, I do know better, especially after being in such pain for over 4-5 months!

As for the wine...I bought a BIG bottle of Kikkoman...sure did!!!

Donna my philosphy is it could always be worst just be thankful it is NOT worse. Now you need to sit your fast azz down somewhere ALWAYS jumping on a plane and running the streetz.  

As the doctor suggest relax and let your ankle heal properly!! No electric sliding and dropping it like it is hott for a while. Just enjoy your wine, breath and relaxxxxxxxxxx.

It could have been worse and I am grateful I found out now.  I'm planting it in a chair for a couple of weeks...and was just planning my next trip! I was heading to Seattle on the 16th...for a whole week...and now that trip is on hold...for at least 4-6 dayum weeks!!!

Nope...no electric slide...no dancing...no dropping any thang...but I will hit that glass of wine...thank you very much!
