OT - DANGEROUS TALKING POINTS

Hello all I don't get to post much these days, but I wanted to  make you all aware  of a growing trend and ask your assistance,  if you look on the news nightly (fox news)   many of their stories have evolved beyond the regular right wing talking  points  to dangerous rhetoric  towards the current president and administration, even though we are a country that is based on freedom of speech  standard is that you still "cant  shout fire in a crowded theater" so on that point if you look at  some  of the stories and look at some of the websites  such as fox news.com and http://www.hannity.com/ many of the  posters on their are calling the president a Marxists and dangerous and some  have even called for a violent revolution or for his removal from office or  one  person last week even hoped that the presidents  term in office would end just like  Lincoln or Kennedy's did" to some people they  can look at these statements and brush them off  but what about that crazed person sitting at home   who ingests a steady diet of this propaganda every day and think its theirs "duty" to save the country that the likes of  Sean hannity, rush Limbaugh and others are saying the president is destroying  daily?  so what can we do  well pass this on to your friends and have them send letters to the FCC, fox news and to their legislators daily  and ask them to monitor theses sites   ..................... thanks for your time ...now back to  the wls issues......

I notice this too...like on MSNBC they always srun this spot called the "first 100" (details about Obama first 100 days in office )during the segments they are over anylyzing every move the president and first familly makes.    I dont remeber them doing this to any other president.  To me its like they are hoping and waiting on Obama to make one mistake just they can justify their scrutiny.

MOSIAH thanks for this important post.  Never in my life have I heard people be so critical of and putting a sitting President down in such a systematic manner.  They are so worried about Michelle showing her arms and Obama not requiring suit jackets in the oval office "their" world is turned upside down. 

Obama is examing how contract (those over expensive contracts) are bid for and accepted by federal agencies.  this is rocking the worlds of the establishment that own companies and that have familities/friends that own companies.  President Obama is taking away their bargaining chips  and perks they are so scared!!!!!!!!!

Embracing change is so difficult for all of us but the way Obama is shaking the establishment up it scares them to the point that they are disrespecting the office of the Presidency!  The bottom line is the racism in the core of their heart is running through their veins and taking over their every thought!  It's so sad keep the country in prayer.

And to add to what you said...he is President Obama...not mr. Obama...not a day goes by that I hear different reporters on different new stations calling him Mr. Obama...the man (like it or not) is the president for the next 4 years...so they need to get over it!

I agree, it was so crazy that  they say that gun sales went up when he was elected, some say its because they are afraid that he was going to take away their gun rights  but I think otherwise,  there are actual websites that are encouraging another  civil war, not on the magnitude that this country faced in the 18oo's  but there are many white separatists groups that had been advocating that the upper north west states separate from the rest o the country and   it become a white homeland even though this may seem far fetched  they have gained a greater audience now that  this election has happened and  you have people like hannity and Limbaugh saying every night he is dangerous and  they are frightened for the country and  uncle tom  shuffling  apologetic Negroes like  Michael steel, Juan Williams  and Jesse  Peterson  cheering them on.

The children of Israel walked in the wilderness for 40 years. Why? They were not ready for the change God had for them, so he allowed them to wander all that time until all of the old ones with the I refuse to change attitude.  They missed out on the promised land.  Our country is filled with a lot of old ones *****fuse to change. Well news flash change is gonna come, as a matter of fact change is here.
Yesterday I was shopping in Han**** Fabrics and they had a blanket hanging with the Presidents face on it and my 3 year old said' "Barack Obama the president of the United States."

Last night I was looking at Larry King and Tavis Smiley was on...he wanted to ALSO start a "Council" that "tracked" President Obama's agenda. I said to my partner that Smiley is just like the rest of them except he is in black skin, his true colors are showing now. My goodness, if no one tracked what Bush did, why would they want to track what Obama is trying to do. THEY can do NOTHING but Talk and insight the FRINGE (but the FRINGE Elements were already insighted after the  Iowa Primary). Sure they want Obama's death, but I am convinced that if Obama is killed it will break the back of this country, and if some one thinks that they can impeach or over throw him, democracy will end and the country will die. The sure way to destroy this Country is to "over throw" a duly elected President. It's CRAZY, but be ever vigilent. My Grandmother and Mother told us about "Hoover Days-the Great Depression" and the things that went on; folks, just read history and prepare, prepare, prepare.

This is a race, but it is not to the swift, it is to the ones that endure. Obama will endure and win just like Roosevelt did...he had major critisism also. I don't see this as a time to panic or get hostile, I see this as a time to be vigilent in all things. One of the worse things that has happened to this country is cable news. They MUST stir the pot or they will be out of business. I stay informed but not via cable news anymore. Cable news, the Pundits, Hannity, Limbaugh and the Tavis Smileys of the world are out for "Market Share", to make a buck. I was listenig to an add this morning on local TV about a bunch of Pundits (liberal and conservative) coming to town and it cost $$$ to hear them "go at it"...these people are friends and partners in crime.  (By the way, if you look at Fox News you are supporting Fox News; they do not care what YOU stand for, they want your cable box turned to them so they can beat out CNN, HLN and MSNBC>>>So they can ask for more money from Advertisers...it's about the MONEY. )

While I understand your viewpoint, freedom of speech really has to be taken into account here. Simply because others are scrutinizing Obama constantly does not mean that there should be a call to action to limit content. If you don't like it, change the channel, or don't look at the website. Not everyone loves Obama, and many are really sore about McCain loss. Different views make life more interesting.
