ot...DOUBLE STANDARD????

I personally think that for ME...homosexuality is a big HELL NASTY NO....but to each his/her own.  Disease aside, I think that one of the reasons whether conscience or subconscience that a woman would be less likely to accept a man is that one of the things that attract us to a man is his manliness and the sense of security that we feel when we are with them.  It's hard to have those feelings for a man that you know has been laying up with another man like a "woman".  This is in part due to the fact that for reasons that I've never understood and maybe you can answer.... What's up w/ the whole voice changing, finger snapping attitude that I see in many gay men? If homosexuality is suppose to be a sexual preference; what is the personality/femininity that many feel must be associated with it? If you're a big muscle head or athelete shouldn't you continue to be YOU despite the fact that you like penis?  Where does the girlieness come into play?

for the record i have never changed my voice snapped a finger,  worn a multi colered scarf,  decorated anones apartment,   coordinated a wedding or anyting wlse that is associated with those sterotypes as i said before I know men who are the most masculine and most manly  in the presence of women but when they get to the club or behins closed doors ...sometimes they fele like a nut and some times they dont!!

Ok but you know some....my question was why? How does a supposed sexual preference make some act feminine whether behind closed doors or not?

Also as stated you know those who "act" masculine around women...that goes back to why it's less acceptable to find that a man has been in a homosexual relationship.  We need that masculinity...need to feel that regardless of whether we can take care of ourselves that HE is MAN.

I think that gay men who exhibit very "feminine" (they believe) attributes are those with gender issues. They may have gender issues to a greater or lesser degree. Gender is distinct from Orientation, as both are distinct from Identity.

I would not knowingly get down with a man that has been intimate with another man. I do not believe that I can compete with a man. Until recently, Black women were the fastest rising group affected by HIV. It is easier for a woman to be given a disease than a man. Small tears are made during sexual intercourse which puts a woman at a greater risk of contracting a disease.

how come straight folk see bi folk's non preference as 'competing'?  There's not really a difference, at least with me - I am as attracted to women as men, there's nothing that is a cause for 'competition' whether it be man or woman - it's about the person......
