I have not yet had RNY, but I have heard stories about tooth decay and hair lost can anyone tell me what to expect and what can I do to prevent these sort of things from happening and even if it's true for just some people I have really put a lot of work into my hair and my teeth and I would like to see them stay healthy at any cost

Thanks,
Lillian

I didn't have any tooth decay,  but I did loose a ton of hair.  I have a lot of bald spots that I'm trying to get to grow back in 3 years later.

i think i'm 5 years out now. i haven't had any teeth problems. my hair did thin a lot. but i have really thick hair so the only person that knew it was me..it has gotten thicker though now..people have said that Biotin is good with regard to helping with your hair..and keep up your protein..i've been taking Biotin since i had surgery..its like $3 at walmart..Be Blessed on your journey.
