First birthday post-op... need ideas

I'm celebrating my birthday on the 26th, and I need some ideas on what kind of celebration with friends/family that isn't food or alcohol centered. Any ideas? I've been slowly but surely transitioning my activities with friends from food gatherings to activities, but in my past birthdays, its just been a smorgasborg... so now I'm stumped.

Also, what do you have in place of a cake? I have heard mention of a fruit "cake" but I don't know where to even get one?

Thanks guys!

How about an outside the house activity like bowling or roller skating?

As far as cake, I would go with the basket or the fruit made to look like a cake...you can find them on-line

How about an activity like bowling or something?

As for the cake, make two...one regular and one sugar-free.  There are lots of SF recipes online that I've heard are kinda tasty.

As for ****tails, you can serve them, just make yours a SF drink without alcohol and add some fruit for garnish.  No one else has to know you are drinking something non-alcoholic.

Enjoy your day!

You could always plan a fun throwback party -- like skating or bowling.  Im in the process of planning a big bowling party for my 30th next year.  Or, depending on how many people, you could even rent out a screen at the movie theatre for a private viewing of the movie of your choice.

I know that there is a company that does fruit arrangements that look like flower bouquets, cakes, you name it.  Something with "edibles" in the name.  I will try searching for the link and come back to paste it.

I know how hard it can be to find something that everyone can agree to do that doesnt revolve around stuffing your face, lol.

Hope you have a great bday!

Bowling, Skating, Horse Back Riding, Hot Air Ballooning (did this for my husband a few years ago, small group though) ... Amusement Parks are fun & healthy food can be brought in car for the lunch break for everyone. Comedy club, food is an individual choice ... Concert ... umm those are things I like, hope it gets your thoughts going ... Happy B Day in advance!

Hey Girl,

Do something fun like bowling, listening to live music or go out dancing.  I thought of having one of those edible bouquets with the fresh fruit as your cake/center piece.  If you want your friends to still like you, maybe through some other snacks in to round out the fruit.

Take care and have a great b-day!

How about having your party at an arcade?  Some of them offer package deals of game tokens and refreshments, so you wouldn't have to do any of the work or have to deal with food.
