It actually happened and it was good ...
We just celebrated our 16 year wedding anniversary. My husband and I were married less than a year after we met at a restaurant/club. He asked me to marry him 4 months after we met, and he has been my knight in shining armor since. God has gotten us through all of these years and they went so fast. Due to our children (2 girls 11 & 13) having tons of stuff going on this weekend we did not go away, but we still enjoyed each other by being of work all weekend and taking a break from the norm. The girls are away most of the weekend. We spent time just talking with no interruptions, went to a very romantic fondue restaurant, listened to jazz, just really are enjoying each other .... so just a question ... what are you best celebratory events, what did you do?
I tried to put the pic on here but that didnt work so it's in my pics.

Hi Raquel,
Congratulations for 16 years of marriage! It sounds like you and hubby had a wonderful time celebrating your marriage - and he obviously knew that he had "a good thing" when he met you.
Blessings to you,
DD

Good Morning!!!
Congrats to the both you. Doesn't it feel good to have a true "knight in shining armor"
It's funny you and I have a similar story. It feels so good to hear that there are still marriages that can last...(and I'm sure some thought it would not)
My husband and I went to a Meet and Greet Last weekend. Although we go to DC once a year we always have the kids. This was our weekend. I was able to enjoy my husband as just that not "daddy" usually we move so fast during the week that just taking a moment was so nice. It was a simple weekend but we were able to re-connect!!!
Again congrats!!

130LBS GONE!!!
I've only had one anniversary with my husband now but this past January we had a really good time. We went to this five star restaurant and had a very romantic dinner at a secluded table. All five courses were wonderful.
I've had grander and more exotic ones with my first husband, but we're not gonna go there lol. I can't wait to see what we're gonna do next year. We'll be settled in our new house by then and won't have to be on this stinkin budget anymore LMAO
