Tape removal

Good morning everyone,
I am having an issue that I hope that someone can help me with.

I go for my 1st post op appointment on Tuesday and would hope to have all of that tape remnant off of my arms, legs, and tummy. I have washed, scrubbed, rubbed raw, and I've been using witch hazel to no avail.

My surgeon told me to leave it (the tape) on and let it peel off by itself.  It eventually did about 1 1/2 weeks later.  It was gross but I tried to keep the incisions clean with peroxide and alcohol.  I also purchased my own surgical tape & band-aides and when the surgeon's fell off I continued to tape my wounds for about a month.  Maybe more.  I was scared of getting an infection and my wounds although not oozing, looked raw for along time. At one point the thread from the stitch popped out & was sticking through the healing incision.  Then it just fell off.  Just be patient and that sticky stuff will wear off.

yeah I plan to do that too. I have the mesh gauze that they have me using now. My tape was taken off when I left the hospital but you know how the imprint stays? that is what seems so unsightly. I have the lead spots from the heart monitor things on my chest too. I just thought that I could kinda clean all of that up to look presentable, but come to think of it the surgeon could probably care less.
