Ashley, it took me back to the days when brothas would try to make up back-cronyms (backwards acronyms) to explain what NIKE, ADIDAS, and PONY stood for on their sneakers.

Absolutely not "oversensitive" but I wouldn't quite go "racist"

I've said before and I'm of the belief that the term racist is often inappropriately and over used.

Racism implies that one believes that one race is superior to another and therefore has the right to dominate.

I think that bigotry is more appropriate to many of the ***** ass occourences we've seen as of late.  Of course the bigotry is usually based on race, but I say bigotry nonetheless.

Now...given the fact that the bigotry is race based, I feel that given the history of this country, bigotry carries with it as a given hostility and thus the underlying threat of violence.  That said, at what point will this man be given the respect he deserves as POTUS?  If you called Bush a dumbass, it was unpatriotic-disrespectful though there was no threat of hostility there.   The good ole boys don't like anyone who isn't a pure blood good ole boy, so the fact that Obama is black will never be ok with them and all the red blooded American  "Joe the Plumbers" of the world, so sadly, we will continue to see this type of thing.

I think his presidency is a beautiful thing and no one wanted it more than I, but it is so clear to me that there are issues we will never overcome.  Watch the news tonight.  The least consequential stories (octomom anyone?) overshadow the most consequential, outrageous and relevant (are they still covering the cartoon?)

As recently as yesterday Hanity had a poll on his website asking "what type of revolution would you most like to see happen in this country?"  Coup, succession or armed...WTF?!!!!  At last check armed revolution was winning.  Inside Edition didn't cover that last night, they did however cover the controversy over Michelle Obama wearing sleeveless dresses.

*SIGH*

I know I probably didn't answer the question and I know that was a rant, but hell, I needed that.  Carry on.

It is never too late to be what you might have been
