I have reached my goal weight!
Good Morning BAF,
I reached my goal weight this week. It has been an amazing 8 1/2 months. I just wanted to let you all know how grateful I am for your support. I don't post all the time but I read the boards nearly every day. God has and continues to perform miracles in my life every day and I am sure in yours as well. For those that are just starting this journey, I want to encourage you to exercise, exercise, exercise. By doing this I have been able to literally reshape my body and hopefully avoid surgery for excess skin in the future. Exercise also has helped me to develop discipline in my life. It is this discipline that I must call on each day as I am able to eat a little more. I have not come this far to let my lack of discipline mess it up. When I saw my surgeon at my six month appointment he prepared me well by letting me know that as my weight loss began to slow down the real work begins to keep losing. The first 6 months was my training time. At this point I am in a size 6 for the first time I ever remember. I never thought that I would be any smaller than a 12 or 14, LOL. Stay the course everyone and no matter what happens don't lose HOPE!
Love you all!
Michele
