Resized imageOkay so this morning......I put on my purple shirt, black jeans with the design on the leg, and my black boots. Trying to go out with a lil bit of a bang since this is my last day at work beforeI am off to have my surgery on March 3rd.

My boyfriend calls and wants to take me to lunch. I am thinking well if you eat now, you have to drink a protein shake for dinner....hhmmmm. It's 12:30 in the afternoon but I go ahead and go.

We get to the restaurant and where we are going to sit has not even crossed my mind.
Of course the hostess leads us to a booth. I am already in panick mode and I feel myself starting to sweat a little bit, but still keeping my composure.  I am becoming a carpenter as we are getting closer to the table because in my mind I have a imaginary ruler measuring the distance between the table and the back of the seat.

I say to myself okay it looks good I should have plenty of room. Not!!! So I start sitting down and I feel all of these eyes staring at me as I am about to attempt to fit in this booth.
Okay we all know I didn't measure accurately and I am stuffed.  When I finally settle in there was  noone  watching, actually the restaurant was almost empty.  I guess it was the anxiety or the feeling of always being watched because you are the big girl!!!
Now I say I hate booths.....but I know in a little while it will become something I can request when eating out and not have the sweats!!!!

I don't have an angel but you all pray for me on March 3rd as I undergo this major event in my life.
I am a little nervous.....I just want to wake up and know that I made it through for my children.

(((((((((((((Sexy Red)))))))))))))) i understand where you coming from...it was a booth that helped to say "fukk it I'm having WLS"

With me it was different... the waitress didn't offer the booth so I asked her why..and she straight up said "because I didn't think you would fit!"...sistah was done done done!

Ro,  you givin' that booth a lot of credit...but whatever it  takes. Just do it.

I would do it again...and again and again. No regrets.

And today, I prefer booths.

Your nervousness is natural, babe.

This may sound like a cliche, but March 3 will be your rebirth.  You'll be fine.

OMG FINALLY someone can acknowledge that the seats on the metro ARE NOT big person friendly, I moved here in August and the first time I rode the train, i was like OMG.  Call it paranoia but it was as if people were giving me the evil eye if they couldnt get in the seat with me......you should check me out at Greenbelt Station at 615 am, im making a mad dash for the seats with no arms....LOL

Now i just really dont give a **** I have come to find out that SOME northern folks arent home trained so it really wouldnt matter if I was big or not, they still gone be hateful!!

My surg is 3/17/09, and once I lose my weight i might still take up 2 seats DAMMIT....
