Pre-liquid diet!!

So in approximately 2 1/2 weeks I will be starting my liquid diet...and i know that will be hell on wheels! I spoke with the nutrionist yesterday and asked her what she recommends I do to prepare myself for the diet and she told me to start out with a shake for breakfast and have a sensible lunch and dinner for the beginning of the 2 1/2 weeks and then have a shake for breakfast and lunch for the remainer and then still have the sensible dinner. I will start now with giving up the swedish fish and diet pepsi and get more water in my diet. So today is day one LOL...and I guess I feel ok...I'm drinking my water and staying busy!

Anyone do a pre-liquid diet? or did you jump straight into the liquid diet without any problems?

Red.

I went straight to the liquid diet.  Mine started the DAY AFTER THANKSGIVING that year, so I ate like I was at the last supper. lol

That weekend (I had surgery that Monday after Thanksgiving) was hell.  I kept wanting to eat something, but one thing stopped me: people die from not listening to the directions / instructions...especially anesthesia is concerned.

Its gonna be difficult, babe, but you'll be fine.  What hospital are you doing it at?

Very good choice.

I was choosing between them and St Lukes-Roosevelt.   Unfortunately, NYU didn't take my insurance at the time, so I chose St. Lukes.

My pre-liquid diet was:

Every burger I knew I would miss
All the Chinese dishes i loved and knew I couldn't eat after surgery
Every can of soda I could get my hands on
My favorite cakes and pies

and on the LAST night before I kicked off my liquid diet;
A 4 course steakhouse dinner PLUS dessert

I don't just have issues, I have subscriptions!  I'm saving on the newsstand price.......

I started my liquid diet one week before surgery.

I did a Mack Mama and ate EVERYTHING that I knew I would miss. I had no time for trying to get prepared for eating a certain way....I mos def became a gluttonous mofo.

Hey There Lady Red,

I have to do a two week liquid diet. I imagine I am going to be something terrible to deal with. At any rate, I was told that I can only have PROTEIN SHAKES and drink lots of water. I can have Crystal light from time to time also. I hope I can make it through those two weeks man. Shyt that alone should make me loose some dang gon' weight.

I start my liquid diet on March 9th.

Hphm... I have noticed that my eating has picked up more than usual since finding out my date.

LOL... must be that "last supper" syndrome they speak of.
