Until you get at the proper levelof restriction you are what we Bandsters like to call Bandster Hell. Until that perfect level of restriction is met, pretty much we are doing it on our own/dieting. Are you following the band rules? Protein first. 1/2 c-3/4c of food per meal? No eating and drinking? Are you getting all your water in and exercising?

Now you ahve to remember I lost most of my weight during my preop liquid diet and immediately after surgery. I kinda scratch my head wheen I see people say how they are starving. I literally had no appetite for a good 2 weks after surgery. I also felt stuffed when I tried adding on foods. I guess I just was a lot more swollen internally than most.
If you forward me your email address I will forward the Band Rules I got from Jean, a regular poster ont he Band board. But to start off with heres a few good tips.
1) Strive for 30 minutes of exercise DAILY
2) Stop drinking right before you eat. Do not drink for an hour after completing a meal
3) Limit or elimnate hi calorie drinks
4) No soda
5) 64-80 oz of water daily
6) A true Bandster meal is 1/2 cup-3/4 cup or 4oz (varies due to different Dr recommendations)
7) Always eat dense protein first, followed by veggies, and if any room remains you may have carbs
Hopefully this will be enough to get you started

I wasn't sure if you'd be comfortable that anybody reading the board now knows your email address. Personally I wouldn't i get enough SPAM as it is. But hey if you like it I love it.
No eating and drinking because the whole concept of the band is it works like a funnel. We want the upper pouch created by the band to stay full as long as possible and for the food to SLOWLY sift down into our regular stomachs. Imagine pouring water down a funnel vs. something thicker like oatmeal. The oatmeal will eventually make its way out the bottom but at a much slower rate. This whole concept is part of why at good restriciton you should be able to go 5-6 hrs after a meal without feeling hungry.
If you are constantly pouring liquids down your throat while eating you are forcing food down into your larger stomach faster plus you are now making more room and are able to consume more as well.
