HELP!!! I'm Feeling Lost
hi there, i'm sorry you're having difficulties...in my honest opinion the band is the hardest to work out of all the other surgeries...this is just my opinion...it is so very easy to slip into old habits, with the band you can eat mostly all the same foods just in moderation...and junk food you can consume all day...with no side effects(usually) and the slider foods(all soft foods including junk) are the worse, their just empty calories. you truly have to make up yr mind that you're gonna do this....it takes discipline and a lot of it. so i beg you now to stop with the old habits...before you know it you could be out of control...and i know you didn't have surgery with the intent of not being successful. i also suggest that you go on the lap band forum...i'm go there even when i don't post there....someone else is usually going through the same or a very simular thing...you can get lots of support there too...not saying you can't get it here but there are thousands of bandsters there and only a handfull of us over here....it's always helpful to view other peoples' journey, i like to read about their failures as well as their success...it keeps me on track and helps me to make better choices... ...pay attention to every thing you put in your mouth!!!! i like to refer to it as mindful eating..it will help you.

I so understand how you feel. My surgery was 9/4/07. Since then I've been playing around with the same 60 lbs. It wouldn't be so bad but I've got another 130 to go! I hadn't done any formal exercise in a full year, but yesterday after tossing the ideas around I rejoined a gym. I decided to slowly get back into the swing of things, so I joined Countours for women-similar to curves but real stack weights. On the days I'm not doing the circuit I've started the couch potato to 5k program. I'm only two days into it, a little sore but it feeels so good!
Now the eating I have a harder time with. DO you have good restriction? Do you need to schedule a fill. I've ordered from Bandtastic Meals (www.bandtasticmeals.com) Its very similar to Seattle Sutton's but more affordable. Being single I eat out alot and look for quick easy meals, its too hard to put a lot of effort into cooking for just one person.

Thanks Michelle. I still have ome restriction but I know i haven't been exercising nearly like i should so i was trying to hold off on a fill. It will be a year in April so I will go then and get a fill but I want to do as much as I can in the next month and a half.
