Oh!  That's the week before hubby's b-day.  I'm always down for some free entertainment...LOL!

Yeah, c'mon through, it is the largest neighborhood jazz festival on the east coast, the venues are great and the vibe is too cool.  Among some of the names this year will be WAR and Jeffrey Osbourne (details: http://www.westoaklanefestival.com/page/full-schedule). Me and wife have been going since we were dating.  We carry chairs and a cooler and buy our food from some of their excellent food vendors to help support the festival.  There is one venue in particular we discovered our first tiime there, a restaurant called CornBread & Coffee, the cornbread is off the chain and now we go often enough for some the staff to know us.

It is actually a Jazz AND Arts Festival, the black art vendors have some real quality pieces and the vendors overall are typically very good.  The also have art demonstrations and presentations.  The venues rock well into the night. You will not be disappointed.

PS if anyone recalls Philly Goddess from here on BAF, her and her girlfreinds set up a major camp by one of the main venues and hang out all weekend long...

 This looks like fun.    

John...OMG...you truly surprised me when you showed up to dinner on Friday...I felt like a woman with a new pair of shoes when I saw your smiling face...oh it was so great seeing you and meeting your wife.  Wow...I'm still in shock...and you are still one of the sweetest people I've met on BAF.  The next time you're in Maryland...come heyll or high water we will get together and hang out...I promise you that.

You have a beautiful wife...and I can see the love between you two.

One with american and fried onions (gut the roll real good)...there they do the condiments after the grill...(remember no whiz!)
