Pre Surgery Roadblocks

Has anyone started your requirements for surgery (cardiac clearance, bloodwork, pulmonology) and found out you had some things going on that you didn't know about? I went yesterday for a chest x-ray and they found a nodule on my R lung. Then I went for my cardiac consult and found that I had an abnormal EKG and mitral regurgitation. I had to go for a CT Scan today and some more bloodwork. I am a nurse so I know that there is a good possibility that it is nothing but I can't help but be scared at the same time.

all my test were clear so no road blocks for me but i would be glad they found them before surgery so they can fix the problems. its normal to be scared but as a nurse you know the doctors that are trustworthy to take extraordinary care of you im im sure everything will be ok
