MM, if she does want him back and/or she goes back to him do you think she'll be dogged by rumors that Chris controls her like... say... Bobby did Whitney?
That picture of her disgusted me SO much - you can't imagine! I got beat by an ex of mine - and the look on her face is EXACTLY the look I had - the eyes tell the story.... even closed.
i left my loser directly after that event - wasn't NO talking to me!!! lol - but I was in a different place in my life - I have no clue what's going on in Rihanna's mind or life - I pray she doesn't put herself in a situation where we are reading a self help book or attending some seminar tour of hers later in life - or worse..... her funeral.
CBreezy will not catch too much backlash - fans are stupid - there's no boycotting or anything like that these days - but heck - did anybody boycott Ike Turner when EVERYBODY knew he was beating the CRAP out of Tina???? hmmm....

"Uhh oh, dat ass is singing again..quick turn your back { "ROLLIN'!!"} . Okay, I can turn back around again. GO TINA!!! DO THAT, GURL!!!!"
"When Alexander saw the breadth of his domain, he wept for there were no more worlds to conquer." Plutach. Not true, for there are always more worlds to conquer.

Now that was deep. Sorry to hear what happened to you. I hope, that if you have brother or male cousins, they put a hurtin on his azz for what he did...
You made a brotha think early this morning. I totally forgot about Ike and Tina. Good points.
There may not be an open backlash for him but the public has a way of "sh*ttin" on you if they want to. For example, take a look at Eric Benet. When he cheated on Halle Berry, who most black men will readily say is the best looking female on Earth hands down, his singing/acting career took a serious nose dive. Why? Because, in my opinion he was a crooner for the ladies and they didn't like what he did, even though he was a pretty boy and all.
What do you think?
No male cousins or anything - just got away from ole boy. He left the state tho (I may not have family - but you can ALWAYS pay for a contract...... lol)
Eric Benet had to take it on the *****ause he was DIRECTLY in contrast to his 'image'. Now - you could easily argue that CBreezy is in direct violation of his STATEMENTS about abuse - but didn't bulid his career on being the non-beating type mofo...... just like R Kelly did not build his career on being the non-lil girl ****** - it's a bit different when it's a situation outside of your persona rather than something totally linked to who folk THINK you are......
I think it will blow over too easily - that Rihanna will end up doing a memoir or her own version of What's Love Got to Do with It - Part II and THEN folk will look back and do the 'I KNEW that mofo wasn't ish!'
I already ain't like CBreezy - no problems boycotting for me!!!

I also hated those katz from Jodeci when stuff starting coming out about how KC (I think it was KC) used to beat on Mary J. Blige back when they were dating. I just couldn't look at the group the same anymore in terms of music - no matter how much I liked "Forever My Lady". I think the general black music-buying public felt the same way too in a sense.
