New Post-op Tip Of The Day

Hey y'all. My computer is very finicky, so I will post when it allows me.

Today's tip is about eating out. Some people think that they will never eat out again and some people vow never to eat out again. You can eat out again if you plan it right. First, go to the resturant's website and get nutritional info. on foods you're interested in eating. Next, do not try a new dish away from home because we never know how our bodies will respond to a new food. or are just 2 ways. Discuss with whoever you're eating with, if they would like to share a plate with you. Some people suggest kid's dinners but I've found that kid's meals are usually not the best choices because they are fried chicken tenders, mac'n cheese, hot dogs and stuff like that. You can always opt for a bowl of soup or chili. I sometimes just get a meal and get a to go plate and get about 4 meals out of it. When you're early out, you will probably be wasting some money but you will be able to eat out every now and then but follow your rules about protein first, do not drink and eat at the same time. Stop drinking 30 mins. before meal and don't drink again until 30 mins. after. You might want to ask the waiter/waitress to not bring any bread to the table if it's too tempting for you. Enjoy your meal.

Thanks for the tips. I really appreciate this one. I have eaten out a few times, but I check the website prior to going and I split the meal as soon as it gets to the table into a take home container. This SO works. The issue I struggle with lately is that when in the presence of other people when eating, I am taking too large bites. Any suggestions other than realizing it too late??? I slow down at that point, but how about I not do it!
