Congratulations on getting your surgery approval!
Wear comfortable clothes to the hospital. Make sure they're not tight. You can wear home the same clothes you wear when you're admitted.
Slip-on shoes are best so you won't have to bend over to tie them.
Take your bath robe with you so you can cover up and be warm when you get up and start walking in the hall.
Don't do anything different with your eating until advised by your surgeon or nutritionist.
A catheter would be placed while you are under anesthesia so it won't hurt. Normally it would only be in short term until you can get up and go to the bathroom on your own.
