Do you have a desk job or a job with a litlle bit of physical activity ?  My daughter works at a daycare center so she will be lifting small children when she returns to work.

I had surgery on Tuesday, was in Walmart on Wednesday picking up some last-minute things and could have gone back to work on Friday.  Went back Monday and other than a little bit tired was fine.

Thanks for your input Taw1975......she is young and never had surgery before, I feel like lapband would be the best choice for her.

I taken off 2 weeks but was actually off 3 weeks due to Hurricane Ike. Pain was minimal (port pain, side sleeper) no shoulder pain and smaill amount of gas pain.  Was up walking the casino in 6 days.

I had surg on a Tuesday, stayed overnight because I am diabetic, and went back to work the following Monday.  I had the gurgling, but no gas pains at all.  I was tired a lot, but then again, I LOVED the liquid Vicodin they gave me!  ROFL.

this will sound weird, but its the truth.

I had my surgery on a tuesday,, 3 minutes before noon( I remember looking at the clock on the wall, and counting back from 10)

At 215 that afternoon, I was up, and walked for 13 minutes****il they made me stop) I had 0 discomfort(shiiit,, I had that pain pump though)

I was at work, Thursday morning. And never had a problem. I was sore a little bit,, but nothing that would keep me outta work.

Tell your daughter, that is one of the GOOD things about the band. Them "band butt whoopings" are the worst.

thats just it, dreadloc,

there WASNT a whole lot of pain.

honestly,, the only thing I was really worried about, was the incisions. I wore a t shirt under my dress shirt, and I was fine.

In fact,, had it NOT been for the incisions, I wouldnt have known they did ANYTHING.
