Does weight loss help you find your soul mate???

 I agree with the others in that it does expand your dating choices.
 

I did not get married Or meet my husband till AFTER I had WLS. WLS does not fix what is in you OR all of a sudden make you a knockout,if you were attracting azzholes before WLS, 9 times out of 10 you will do the same after WLS.


But the key word was I was not LOOKING for a soul mate, I just ran into him.

I don't think WLS = soulmate found. 

That person is/ will/ would come into your midst whether u were a size 2 or a size twenty-two, for that person, IMO, was made specifically for you.  However, being a certain size does broaden ur dating/potential mating pool.

 I decided not to search for my future husband til after my weight loss not because i dont think im attractive heavy but because i will be more comfortable with myself when we are intimate and i dont want to be a fat bride... i want to be able to pick my dress off the rack and not have to worry about trying to diet to fit into it for wedding day...

to answer your question i would have to say absolutely not......tho your options may change, and You may have more to choose from do you really want a guy who will look at the old you and be disgusted by what he saw???

I don't think its like that either. Who says that the only way you can find your soul mate is if you have WLS. I think some people who are naturally average size or smaller have a stigma that, "Big Girls" have a hard time getting a boyfriend or even dating. This is not true, while I have not found my Soul mate, I have not had a hard time dating or with relationships.

Just yesterday, some friends of mine noticed that I was on this web site and wanted to see the before/after pictures. One girl noticed one transformation and commented, "Wow, this lady looks wonderful, I bet she can get some now!"

I looked at her and politely said, "Well how do you know that she wasn't getting some before she had surgery." She agreed and retracted her statement.

I'm just saying, WLS does not guarantee a soul mate.

I say no, because some people are souless *******s no matter what they look like.  I will say though that a big man/woman is by and large an "acquired taste" therefore seem to have a longer shelf life than their slimmer counterparts which seem to be in higher demand.

"Souless *******s.."  I haven't quite heard it put like that before, but you DO have a point there.   Hell, some of us, even "smaller" are still an "acquired taste".  Hell, I know I am.  LOL
