Bird for Doug

Hey there - I have been so busy at work that I keep missing the Bird quiz!!!  Anyway, what do you think of this "little" fellow that I found by my house the other day?

This is a "Black Vulture"...(One of my favorites...lol.  J/K) 

A very interesting bird though...because of some of their behavior and characteristics.

He and his buddy were very territorial.  I walked right up to take this pic.  They sure didn't want to share the only squirrel we ever had in our neighborhood.

They are a bit "aggressive" Chelle.  We have more "Turkey Vultures" around here were I live.  Turkey Vultures are larger but the smaller Black Vultures are known to force them out of an area because of their aggressiveness.  (They don't force the Turkey Vultures out much though...because they actually use them to help them find food.  Turkey Vultures have a keener sense of smell...and find food quicker.)
