I know this question has been asked before; but I am really stuck between a rock and a hard place.  I am having a hard time getting in my water.  When I eat; I am too full to drink.  So I don't.  But when I am ready to drink; I can't even finish.  When I am at work it takes me the whole 8 hours of my shift to get in 20 oz.  When I am at home I can get in about 40 oz..

I need some help; I am not getting in my liquids; any suggestions!!??

Nik I can't even help you, sometimes I feel the same way..it's like you get confused sometime wheather you should eat or drink...I'll be intrested in seeing the respones..hopefully cookie will say something, she seem like she knows what she's talking bout.

Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely who others think you are!

Ok, a person can go for days without food.  Water?  No ma'am...work on preventing dehydration.   I really don't care for plain water at all, so I use Crystal Lite, flavor packets, lime, lemon, etc to jazz it up.   Anything will help, popsicles, fruit smoothies.

What also works for me is.....I munch on crushed ice all day long.  My iron is fine but this helps satisfy my need to chew without the extra calories and it helps get the water in.

Thanks Necie!  But how do you balance the two?  I can't drink plain water; so I will do the crystal lite, sf hawaiian punch; etc.

Mine goes a little like this:

5:30am - Hot Green Tea (8oz)

7am - Protein Shake  (8oz)

8:30-9am - Breakfast

10am - First 16oz of water and munching on crushed ice until about Noon.

1pm - Lunch

2-2:30 pm  - 16-32oz of water

more crushed ice

5:30pm - 16oz of water

7-8pm - Dinner

It does vary some, but I try my best.

Thanks for the compliment, Caramel!

Nikki,

The key (IMO) is planning.  This may sound elementary, but it works and it DID work in helping me get to 1 gallon of water everyday (except the days when I'm swelling very badly).

Keep a water bottle on your nightstand or somewhere close to your bed.  When you wake up in the morning - pee, pray, and weigh, and start on the water immediately.

Drink water the entire time that you are getting dressed for work.  You can easily get in 32 ounces before you ever leave home.  ***I think I have a schedule somewhere on my profile***

By the time you get to work, you are ready for breakfast.  After breakfast, wait 1-2 hrs and start back on the water.  Repeat this during the day.  You may have to set timers on your cell phone or your computer, but make a conscience effort to stick to a water/eating schedule until you are able to do it without the reminders.

I just constantly take small sips through the day it helps get most of my water in.  So put in your favorite flavor and get to sipping.  It may be rough at first ,but I know you can do it.

I know I'm not getting my water intake in either.  I try to drink but sometimes I don't feel like drinking.  I start off in the morning once I get to work with filling up my water glass......I'll eat my breakfast...wait a little while and then start drinking.  By the time I'm done with the 1st glass it's lunch time and I can't drink!  I'm trying to find ways to drink more too.  At night I may get in a glass at bedtime.  With me running around all the time it's hard to drink water.

I guess I need help too
