Once a week
to keep myself in check
to keep myself in check
I'm 4yrs post-op and probably the first 2 yrs I weighted myself every day and kids talked about me so bad I scaled it back to 2x week and finally after 4 yrs I do it every blue moon and it think that's because my eating habits are consistent I eat the same things day in day out and the same amount and I get the same amount of daily activity everyday so my weight stays the same it took me awhile to see this but I have finally broken the hold my scale had on me.
In June 2003 when I had my RNY I weight myself everyday for a year, than 2 yrs out maybe every other day. 3 years out 1 a week. 4 years out maybe one a month, but than in the 5 year it was every 6 months. What happen was in the 5th yr I notice weight gain and ignored it because I was not checking my progress as I should have.
Now because of my revision, (because I never lose all the weight I wanted to lose) I will never let the scale disappear in my life again. It is as much a tool for me as the lapband is a tool for the rest of my life. Both work together to help and remind me of what I need to do to keep this weight off.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens Me.
