To Scale or Not to Scale???

I would be a liar if I said I am not addicted to the scale but for important reasons...If you are not losing the way you would want the scale would then tell and you can adjust your eating habits to make itmove... On the other note scales are tricky...This morning I jumped on and it said 240 (Did not weigh since Friday before today)...I got off and waited a few seconds and got back on and it said 243 (Was 245 on Friday)...I am going to put the scale in my trunk and bring it out on May 1st and weigh myself then...My mini goal is to be 238/239...That is 4-5 lbs to lose in 12 days and that would also be 30 lbs higher than the smallest I ever was...

How did others deal with the scale...I can see myself weighing in 2-3 times a month to be safe and to make sure I am still on track.

Over three years out here...and I still weigh everyday BUT I only record it once a week. It keeps me accountable for what I eat but that's just me

It is like a double edged sword...I would prefer to weigh than not to weigh...But I will try to not weigh until the 1st and see what happens.

I weigh every day and twice a day at that.  I weigh in the morning and at night before I go to bed.   My scale likes to play games with the body fat percentage it calculates.  It has ranged between 36 to 41 percent body fat.
I only record my weight on Monday or Tuesday.  I had promised my self to only record on Tuesday because I had surgery on a Tuesday.
I like weighing every day so I can make immediate adjustments in my diet instead of waiting a week to see what needs to be done.

I was addicted to my scale now I only weight at most one or twice a week. When I was weighing everyday it did not seem as if the scale was moving.  Now I weigh once a week I can actually see my progress but hey what ever works for you

I don't step on the scale daily anymore...too frustrating for me personally..i even threw one away a while back....but now i try and weigh myself at least once a week cause i have a goal that i must meet....it helps me to stay focused on what i put in my mouth...

I weigh once per month (the last Monday), and it kills me to do that!  But, I am working on my relationship with the scale.  I know I need the accountability.  I figure once a month is better than never.  Baby steps.

BTW, you're looking good, Girl!

Hey Isa

I purchased a new scale before surgery and it's at my parents home. I would probably be manic about weighing myself, so I rather keep the tempter away. I do weigh every two weeks...anymore would drive me crazy

Daily!!! Keeps me in line...when I have a gain I can hurry up and work on getting it under control. I have a 3lb bounce I allow myself, anything over that sets me off. Yes it's crazy, but it is what it is. I will be 5yrs post op in May and it is still a struggle.
