They are Newbies for that reason...they just started this journey and they have a lot to learn. We all did when we started. I think the newbies that are off track are the most important posts to respond to ~ especially when they are WAAAAAY off track. If they can't stand the heat they should get out the kitchen but since they already had their kitchen remodled then they need to deal with the smoke that comes from the fire of doing STUPID STUFF!!

I have not been coming to BAF for that long but I am familiar with Internet socializing, and I admit that I am not good at it for various reasons.
The type of human being a person is (internally) will usually show in the type of Posts they will put up and/or respond to, generally. I am an Advocate, usually for the "underdog" which means that I don't mind taking on issues that are not popular or standing up to "bullies" or I don't mind being out numbered; and most of all I do not like someone (or persons) to try and censor Me, limit My Freedom of Choice or put Me in a box. So I tend to respond passionately to people, person or groups of people that I FEEL are trying to DO those things in some form...to Me or Others. I try to say My piece, once I have done that I try and move on, I have learned that ONLINE, "DO NOT FEED THE BULLY" BUT there are times that one MUST speak up. Generally, I think that most people respond to what THEY WANT to Respond to, and that is something that usually Motivates them...
I've also been told that I have a pretty good sense of humor...but I just don't have the patience to try and get that across on a key board.

I feel that I am a good judge of character or characters (on the internet) if you will. The internet is a playground and I choose who I wish to play with. I can always tell by how people introduce themselves and how they interact if that person's "internet Personna" is one with which I want to deal. Once I get past the internet facade then I decide if this is one with whom I would like to share my real life. Many make it....many more do not.
I am an advcote for many issues not many of them I deem important enough to fight here on an open forum. I just love being able to pick and choose whith whom I interact with on the regular.

You are correct in some regards but therein lay our difference. I am also a good judge of character, on and off the Internet. I am not so attached to people on the Internet (because a Devil maybe behind a screen name, projecting a saint). I attach to issues and concerns. I have seen people attach to someone on the Internet, and then one takes what maybe considered to be "the wrong" side of an issue or not their side; I have seen where that so called "friend" has been given the "cold shoulder..." I find it easier to focus on issues, concerns and interests...because even the Best of people can be "nasty", but if we are in tune with the same or similar interest, even if just once, then we have a point of agreement. I judge the character of a person on what s/he is willing to stand-up for, maybe what they laugh at and cry about or the jokes they tell, not necessarily whether they like me personally.

That difference is a WONDERFUL THING!! It's what makes forums like this work. It is a great thing that we are not all the same. If we were we would all be stuck here arguing some unchangable concept and not out living and loving life.
I'm a people person. I actually really LIKE and LOVE many who I have just met here. Concepts and issues be dammed - they will always be there and we will always disagree. If we all always agreed then most of us would be unneccessary. I can just tell who I like and I like who I like - we can disagree but if I really like you we can even do that with respect and move on and still be friends, even just internet firends regardless.

You can tell my heavy reading days for school cause I will repond to more posts. When I take breaks from reading I will post something. I'm not picky on what I will post it just depends on how I feel and if I feel like saying something.
Some people post I don't repond to some I will. **** most people don't even pay half attention to my **** and i'm cool with that. A lot of the sex stuff I won't respond to if I don't feel like it. But I had to share my birth control method the other day. I just had to.
It just depends on what it is. I'm not a post snob. I usually say stupid corney stuff and keep it light, unless there is a rally or something. LOL
