Hey BAF! Just wanted to check to see if any of you have any good crock pot recipes you want to share. I posted on the other board but wanted to see if I could get any other suggestions. Thanks.

 SLOW COOKER SPLIT PEA SOUP

A perfect winter soup, filling and flavorful, you'll be glad this double recipe
means leftovers! Carrots and garlic provide some antioxidant power. Round it out with a green salad and whole grain crackers. Ingredients with an asterisk (*) are available in the Whole Foods Market Family of Brands.

Ingredients

1 (16-oz) package dried green split peas, rinsed*
1 meaty ham bone, 2 ham hocks or 2 cups diced ham
1 cup sliced baby carrots
1 cup chopped yellow onion
2 ribs celery plus leaves, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 bay leaf
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
Salt and pepper to taste
6 cups chicken broth*

Method

Layer ingredients in slow cooker in the order given, adding the broth last. Do not stir ingredients. Cover and cook on high 4—5 hours or on low 8—10 hours until peas are very soft and ham falls off the bone.

Sorry, had to correct recipe.

Chicken or pork chops can be used.

I would brown chops and drain.  I did not brown chicken.

Layer chicken in bottom of crockpot.
Mix 1 lg. can f-f cream of mushroom soup with 1/2 can skimmed milk
pour over chops or chicken
Mix 2 boxes stove top stuffing according to directions.
Place over mixture

This makes the stuffing and gravy and meat.  All you need are some taters for a great meal.  I sprayed the crockpot well with PAM first.

I do this with cheap cuts of steak too.  Works beautifully and meat is super tender.
