Reflections...Newbies & Veterans get in here please!
Along my WLS journey I have had carbohydrate delays, sugar layovers, missed protein train rides, exercise/challenge detours and countless other self-sabotaging roadblocks. I am not where I would like to be at 2 years out. However, the proof is my before and most current after picture that I am not even close to where I used to be. I am profoundly thankful for how far this journey has brought me.
No matter how often you may hear these words “WLS is the easy way out"…WLS is NOT the easy way out. For all you newbie’s as well as a reminder to the veteran’s, the pounds are not gone “forever." The moment you begin to believe that they are gone “forever" you will become complacent and the pounds will make a vengeful return.
It is extremely important to me that I maintain a system of accountability…whether it is via online support, physical support group or a telephone call. OH has been my lifesaver because I am able to reach out for support at any given time. I have made what I hope to be lifelong friendships as a result of this site/forum. THANK YOU if you have ever given me support to keep traveling this journey to a healthier lifestyle.
A REMINDER FOR US ALL: WLS is a JOURNEY not a final DESTINATION…it is a road that we must travel DAILY to succeed.
I am asking each of you to do me a favor, since I did not find OH until after my surgery if you would sign my support page today. The support would mean everything to me and I will sincerely appreciate it. Thanks. http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/members/status.php? N=T1176400376
People are so worried about what they eat between Christmas and the New Year, but they really should be worried about what they eat between the New Year and Christmas. ~Author Unknown
