Beyonce's NAACP Acceptance Speech

I have been reading daily blogs and stumbled across last night's NAACP Awards Show. Now both Beyonce and Jennifer Hudson were at the awards show and received awards. There seems to be drama surrounding Beyonce's acceptance speech in which she thanks her mom, dad, sis and nephew specifically along with a few other people. Apparently see when up to receive the award right after Jennifer got off the stage. I am sure mostly everyone is familar with the story of the murder of her mother, sister and nephew a few months ago. 
In the comments on these blogs and on youtube...they basically called Beyonce every bad name under the bus and that she should have send out her sympathy to Jennifer and also not put so much emphais on thanking her mom, sis and nephew since Jennifer had just left the stage.  I have heard that the two of them dont get along and/or arent friends.

I saw the speech and the first thing that came to mind for me was the fact that she didnt thank her husband (Jay-Z). Her mother was in the audience looking like she wanted to kill someone through Beyonce's entire performance of Halo and the acceptance speech.

I am a huge fan of Beyonce but I think Jennifer is a great singer as well. To me the two are apples and oranges...Beyonce is a great performer and very glamourous and Jennifer has a set pf pipes that could only be a blessing from God.

I was wondering did anyone else see the speech and what was their thoughts on it!!

Yes, I as always IMHO think Beyonce was raised to be self centered and snooty.  Her past records show its her way or no way so I was not expecting her to think about anyone else outside her family.   Her mother was sitting there like "no wire hangers", "no wrong moves".  However I too was thinking why are they still trying to hide their union.  I would have thank God first and then my husband

I saw her acceptance speech on youtube and personally didnt think Beyonce was saying anything to be cruel. 

Beyonce always thanks her family......why would last night's award show be any different 

For all we know Beyonce may have  sent Jennifer  her condolences after the murders happened. That would have been the time, NOT on national television.

The media is always quick to want to add some mess to things.

I think both women are talented and have been blessed to be where they are. 

As for her forgetting to mention Jay......I think that was deliberate too.

Remember shes all about keeping her private life PRIVATE.  

That girl kept herself composed on Oprah about the marriage...and we all know thats tough.

Nah, I didn't see the speech. But......

 Whoever wrote "she should have send out her sympathy to Jennifer" probably never dealt with the tragic death of a CLOSE family member. As a survivor of a violent crime, the last thing you want to hear is the same folks constantly telling you that they're sorry.  I'm sure Bey sent out love for her during the crisis.

She just released a new video, still planning the wedding, still getting her awards. I'm not trying to be insensitive but that tip-toeing mess ain't cool. Jennifer is stronger than we think. Schitt, she grew up in Englewood.

Thats what I thought! I didnt think it was a dig..for whatever reason people love to throw Beyonce under the bus!

I think that's overblown.  Just cause J lost her mom, B can't THANK hers?  That's retarded.  And how long does everyone have to be on egg shells around J about the whole loss? 

I don't think there's a 'requirement' here for B in HER speech to address anything about or related to J - like someone said earlier, she probably sent her condolences in PRIVATE where they TRULY belong - and that's that.  Let's move on! 

I agree with the others saw it and never thought twice about Beyonce comments.

I just want to know WHY black enterprises keep having shows at the "RAGGED" Shrine Auditorium? Cheap I guess
