Hope you feel better. This post really got me to thinking. Here goes
Who is the guy/woman that was in your past that you would like to re-connect with? Derek Lewis - dated in high school and college - first person to ask me to marry him.
What made him/her so special that they STILL cross your mind sometimes? He was such a loving and careing person. He catered to my every want, need, or dream. He treated me very special. .
What happened that split you two up? I was too young and scared to get married without having experienced life. I broke up with him for no good reason, but it was the only time I truly felt loved by any man. I have never since him met anybody that loved me in the way he did. and....
Do you do anything special to celebrate V-day? Valentines was special for my husband and me but now its just another day.

Oh wow, it is harder when there was no real reason for the breakup AND it was your own doing. That's all the more reason for you to get that second chance with someone special.

What happened that split you two up? He hooked up with this chick who already had 4 kids and he got her pregnant with her 5th kid. dumb azz

Ok, for the sake of this forum we'll call him "Preston", you never know, some one on here might know "Preston" LOL.
What made him/her so special that they STILL cross your mind sometimes?
He was without a doubt, my first love! He has a smile that is out of this world. The thought of our first kiss still does it for me. He has beautiful eyes and a beautiful smile. He was mannerable and respectful. Most of all, the brother was CLEAN!!! Clean, nails, clean feet, nice white teeth (oh I already said that), kept his clothes on point, car was clean all the time, etc. Anyway, I still remember some of our favorite songs!!!
What happened that split you two up?
He was in the Navy his ship was docked in Boston for 1.5 years. We dated just that long (truth be told, he probably was dating someone else too) but I can only speak for our time together. Anyway, we stayed in contact for about a year after that, and that was it... Now the funny thing is, I tracked him down using the internet
about 2 years ago. Yes, he told me I should be working for the FBI 
.....
Anyway, we have stayed in contact, now the sad part is, he has since gotten married. I mean what could I expect after 20+ years??? Anyway, thank you for letting me relive this wondering part of my life. By the way, the brother still looks good, even at the age of 43! He's bold, but those pearly whites are still shining....

Well since I always seem to be alone on Valentine's day LOL! which seems pretty suspect now, or else I tend to end up with the ones that "don't celebrate it", why is it they never celebrate VD when it's time for you to get a gift, but when they receive one, it's all good?
Anyway, I just spend it with my children. I by them a card, some candy and we do something fun....
So that's it for me...

It's past tense now since we have re-connected but I dated a guy for a year n' half that was in the Army. I met him the fist time I went to the base with a friend, it was his first day there and we instantly conncected.

He is the one that I let slip away. He was like no one I had ever met. He was intelligent, didn't let me run over him, FIONE, same sense of humor, hard-working (always had a part-time) and just wonderful.

I was still wrapping my head around my mother's issues--cheating on her husband (my father), marrying a piece of shiot man that abused her and us kids, babysitting for so long, etc. the LAST thing I wanted to do was be married. I was young, 20 and enjoying life. I held him at arm's length although I was heartbroken when he got out of the Army and left.
We reconnected 2 years ago through our friends. I introduced a friend to his roommate on a favor date (go out with his lame friend please) and they were married 11 days later and have been since. They are still in the military and finally came back to the States. I had called and her husband answered. Out of nowhere I just happened to ask about him. He said he had just talked to him and did I want to give him my number.
Reconnected and the rest is history in the making...he is why I am moving to Florida. I won't let him get away this time.
