Actually, I'd have to say that I think I've been in all 5 at one point in my dating life.

The one I like the most is Partnership. 

The one I hate the most is Ownership.

Here ya go....

I am in a relationship.  I"ve been married more than 23 years.  It aint always been this way; but thank God for changes in both of us to the point we can actually like/love one another and not deal in the petiness that we used to and that insecure ownership stuff.

Before my RELATIONSHIP with my husband I was a teenager (a teen bride too...anyways) and still had decent Partnerships....I can say that I"ve had pretty good hookups.  No possive, crazy owners have crossed my path.

And as for me...I've always been to tight to be a Sponsor...UMMMMM, no.

See now...

When I talk about big boobies - I get hate mail from the sistas (predominantly of the small boobied variety.)

When I ask questions on Thorough Thursday - I get hate mail from a buncha "non smart" people who don't get the jokes.

Now I come on with some intellectual stimulation and get yelled at.

Seriously though...  I think we say we all strive for partnerships but then things like you said come up like pettiness and other stuff and it blows that out of the water.

Morrning Double Ayyyy

Relative to my relationship I have been all these things at varied times of our relationship.

We already have the " relationship"  thing down pat.  Friends and lovers for sure. 

As far as financial obligations....its getting closer to becoming  a partnership.  I actually think that way works best because nobody is taking total responsiblity for any one thing.  Its shared.

During our getting to know each other stage....I was " courted " big time.  And I liked that.
But the realistic/unselfish part of me has never been about using or taking more than Ive needed or wanted.

I would like to think that my sweetie sees us the same way. I'll be sure to ask when I get my morning call in about an hour or so......
